Frequently Asked Questions

How does the star rating system work?

Our 5-star rating system uses World Athletics (WA) points to normalize performances across all track & field events. This means a 4-star sprinter and a 4-star distance runner are equally talented relative to their events. We also apply versatility bonuses for athletes who excel in multiple event groups.

How do I claim my athlete profile?

First, search for yourself in our database using your name and school. Once you find your profile, click the "Claim Profile" button. You'll need to create an account (or sign in) and then submit verification to prove you're the athlete. Verification typically takes 24-48 hours.

Is NOR/MAN free to use?

Yes! Basic features like browsing rankings, viewing athlete profiles, and comparing athletes are completely free. Advanced features like recruiting lists and automated reports are available after account verification.

How accurate is the data?

We aggregate data from official results sources and update regularly. Our database includes results from major high school meets across all 50 states. If you notice incorrect data, please report it using the feedback button in the bottom-left corner.

What is a "Blue Chip" athlete?

A "Blue Chip" badge indicates an athlete has the fastest high school time nationally in their event for their graduating class. These are the elite prospects that every top college program is recruiting.

What is a "Range Machine"?

A "Range Machine" badge indicates an athlete performs within 10% of their peak WA points in both Long Sprints/Mid-D events (300-1000m) AND Distance events (3000m+). These versatile athletes are valuable for college programs building depth.
